1. About Us
Adetoun Adams Health & Wellbeing ("we", "us", "our") provides psychotherapy, counselling, and oncology-focused emotional support services, delivered by Adetoun Adams, MBACP (Accred), together with digital wellbeing resources including The Cancer Companion: The First Steps.

By using our website, booking a session, or purchasing a digital product, you agree to these Terms of Service.
2. Eligibility
Our services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. By using our services, you confirm that you are 18 or older. We do not knowingly provide services to minors.
3. Nature of Our Services
We provide talking therapy and emotional support services. These services:
Are not a substitute for emergency medical or psychiatric care. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or are at risk of harm, please contact emergency services (999 in the UK) or go to your nearest A&E.
Do not constitute medical advice. Any oncology-related counselling addresses the emotional and psychological aspects of illness; it does not replace advice from your oncologist or medical team.
Are delivered in line with the ethical framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and informed by standards of the Chartered Institute of Counselling in Nigeria (CICN), of which Adetoun Adams is an associate member.
4. Bookings and Cancellations
Sessions are booked via Calendly.

Rescheduling is subject to availability.
Persistent missed sessions without notice may result in the pausing or ending of the therapeutic relationship, discussed with you directly wherever possible.
5. Fees and Payment
Session fees and digital product prices are as displayed on our website at the time of booking or purchase.
Payments are processed securely via Stripe and/or PayPal, Bank Transfer. We do not store your full card details.
Digital products (e.g. The Cancer Companion: The First Steps) are delivered electronically upon successful payment.
Refunds on digital products: Due to the nature of digital content, sales are generally final once the product has been accessed or downloaded, except where required by consumer law (e.g. UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, which may grant a 14-day cooling-off period for digital content not yet accessed — please note if content is downloaded/accessed immediately, this right may be waived with your consent at checkout).
Refunds on sessions: No refund on sessions.
6. Video Sessions
Video sessions are conducted via Zoom. You are responsible for ensuring a private, confidential space and stable internet connection for your session. Sessions are not routinely recorded by us.
7. Confidentiality
Please see our Privacy Policy for full details. In summary: what you share in sessions is confidential, subject to limited exceptions required by law or in cases of serious risk of harm to yourself or others.
8. Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
Provide accurate information when booking
Attend sessions in a private, safe environment free from interruption where possible
Communicate promptly if you need to cancel or reschedule
Use digital products for personal use only (see Section 9)
9. Intellectual Property
All content on our website and within our digital products — including The Cancer Companion: The First Steps — is the intellectual property of Adetoun Adams Health & Wellbeing. You may use purchased digital products for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, or publicly share this content without written permission.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of our services or digital products.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
Our services are provided based on professional clinical judgement; outcomes of therapy cannot be guaranteed.
11. Ending the Therapeutic Relationship
Either you or your therapist may end the therapeutic relationship. Where possible, this will be discussed and, where appropriate, include a closing/ending session to support a considered conclusion to the work.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Where services are provided to or from Nigeria, applicable Nigerian law and NDPA requirements will also be considered as our Nigeria-facing services develop.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
